Name(s): Squallkit Squallpaw Squallcry
Gender: Tom
Age: 14 moons
Clan: RiverClan
Rank: Warrior
Appearance: Short-furred and lithe, if a little on the lanky side, and built well for the times when he has to take a plunge into the cold river and lake waters. Squallcry certainly fits the typical prospect of a RiverClan cat. His nose is a dark-grey, bordering almost on black. This, surprisingly, is fairly noticable, even despite the splash of ash-grey that makes up a good portion along his muzzle. Snow-white and ash-grey splatters his coat in irregular patterns, with his fore-legs peppered with a darker stormy hue closer to the wrists.
Squallcry's gaze is an interesting blend of deep yellow and light green. They seem to emit a warm glow that almost appears as if Squallcry is always smiling.
As was mentioned above, he is rather lanky, even now when he's not entirely fully grown. Meaning that he stands a little above the average cat.
Personality: A witty and cheerful young tom with an amiable disposition. He absolutely adores swimming and will try to find any opportunity to dive right in the water. From a kit to a young tom he was a klutz, which is - after intensive apprentice training and swimming trips - slowly fading away, although he sometimes still does have his clumsy moments. Still, underneath that bouncy, energetic nature lies a nervousness that is impossible to truly tame. Beyond his love for the water and his weaving of fantastical stories, he's actually not really the adventurous type, preferring to stay close to his RiverClan home rather than venturing outside of it.
He has been known to daydream from time to time but, if he is told to focus on a task, he will focus. When it comes to being particularly attentive, whether it's hunting, guarding or patrolling, he will shed off his outgoing attitude for a time, instead facing his duty with a seriousness that may surprise those in his company.
It is due to the fact that, from a young age, his mother and father instilled in him and his siblings that the safety of their RiverClan family could change in one swift swoop.
When it comes to his home, he will do anything to ensure that it is safe.
History: Born within a litter of three, Squallkit was justly named after his mother noticed how strongly his fur pattern reminded her of a break among the clouds after a passing storm. He was always the clumsiest of the three siblings, even after they were allowed to venture out a little way from the nursery (under their mother and father's careful watch). However, what he lacked in coordination, he made up for in imagination. He was always the first to pipe up with a new idea for a game and often the one to weave an interesting story. Even as the moons went by, he still was a bit of a klutz.
This changed on the day that he was first introduced to the water, where his siblings mewed that it was too cold, he took to it like a streamlined fish. It was only after his mother finally managed to nip him from the water (after a few failed attempts) and onto dry land that he stopped his flailings and pleas to be back in the river again. After that day, he attempted multiple times to sneak back to the river's edge and dive back into it. This was brought to a stop soon after his fourth failed endeavour of a stealthy mission when a particularly fearsome black bird swooped down to loudly caw and peck painfully at his back, quarter of the way to his destination. From then on, Squallkit instead stuck to splashing around in puddles, dreaming of the day when he'd be able to finally plunge back into the river's depths.
As an apprentice, he was curious and questioning, trying his best to find out anything and everything to do with the apprentice training sessions and everything else that they entailed. He hadn't lost his imaginative side, often voicing aloud his invented stories to anyone who would listen. As of the second moon of his apprenticeship, he became a little more outspoken, and ever more entertaining to be around; often spouting out the occasional joke or a funny little thing that he'd spotted during his training sessions. Some may call him zany, while others prefer to think of him as animated.
Even upon the day that he was named a warrior, he still retains the same energetic and witty attitude that some have grown to know and love.
