It is currently early newleaf. The sun is high, bright, and hot for this new season. With greenleaf fast approaching, the weather feels much warmer than normal. This early warmth and heat has brought a drought for the Clan cats. Prey is starting to become scarce, especially for RiverClan. The lake is also starting to dry up, the banks receding further away from the Clan territories.
Skypaw gave a hiss when she saw her prey running over the boarder into the other clan. Skypaw was not having any luck today when it came to hunting. Rolling her eyes she decided to take a break and patrol on her own for a bit. The weather was starting to get colder and the young calico she cat gave a shiver. Was it time to head back to the camp now? no.. she was determined to catch something. Anything! Listening for anything she finally found a frog not far from where she was. She was not one to hunt frogs but it was something for the clan. Getting low to the ground Skypaw stalked the frog just watching it stay where it was. Giving a low growl she was just about to pounce when she heard a twig snap in the distance and with her jaw dropping she saw the frog hope away into the marsh and Skypaw gave a yowl of anger and turned around and hissed, ''Whoever made my prey go away please you are really going to get it!'' Keeping her eyes on where she heard the noise she waited to see who it was going to be.
